A CULINARY DELIGHT FROM BEGINNING TO END
The highlights of my trip to Hilo were my meals at Island Cantina. Not only were the atmosphere, the nightly live music and the service a delight, but the food was the best I had on my entire stay visiting the Hawaiian Islands. It was all homemade, including fish, shrimp, chicken, beef and pork. They even make their own dressings, sauces, tortillas and tamales. Their fresh salsa and Cantina sauce were truly memorable. I've never had better Mexican food anywhere in Los Angeles, where I live. I highly recommend the Island Cantina to everyone visiting Hilo.    [19 Sep 2004 18:11:45]

Beautiful Restaurant & Excellent Food
What a joy to find this Cantina, right next to a park !! The food was the best - homemade and fresh. The presentation was very colorful. Wonderful live music. The staff is fun and attentive.    [19 Sep 2004 18:20:36]
