Crouching Lion, Hidden service? Reservations were easily made-pleasant. Easy enough to find. Chose to sit in the bar area, found it to be too dark. Service is something to be desired. Acknowledged promptly but took a while to take orders. Waiter and hostess talked too loud about personal business and mentioned things that should never be said in the restaurant with customers within earshot! Food was okay, waiter honestly mentioned what foods not to order. Fish smelled too fishy and scallops were really overdone. [09 Feb 2004 22:37:09]

Best Place to eat on Oahu The location is perfect, service excellent and food wonderful! This was one of the highlights of our visit to Oahu. We loved it so much, Valentines Day Dinner was very romantic with live Hawaiian music, beautiful videos of Hawaii playing and fantastic service and food. Wish there was somewhere like this in Ohio! Enjoyed eathing there so much we went back again, and the food was just as good!! Great escape from the city atmosphere. [05 Mar 2006 12:25:27]

STILL A GREAT PLACE! What an awesome view. Don't listen to the critics. You are here for a charming inn, lovely view and good food. Waitstaff is inconsistent everywhere except the Ritz in Oahu so chill out, sip a Crouching Lion and enjoy your meal. What's your hurry? You're in paradise!!! [30 Mar 2006 20:37:15]

Crouching lion, hidden condescension Food was decent, view is great. The night manager obviously does not care about return business with her un-called for remarks. Quite unfortunate as we will not be coming back, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. In fact I will say whatever you do, avoid this place. Plenty of other places to spend your money with better staff then this. Dont waste your time and money here...!!! [03 Jun 2006 05:59:36]

Crouching Lion Inn Oahu, Hawaii Aloha. Crouching Lion Inn is my most favorite eating place in Hawaii. We found the place on our first visit. We’ve been going there for 11 years consecutively, and eat there probably five times out of each 23 day trip. We stay at different places on Oahu, and even if it’s an 80 mile round trip it is worth it. We have come to know & be recognized by Ione, the Manager & Rose, our waitress. Our favorites are Mahi-Mahi & their pulled pork. Nothing has ever been a disappointment. The Early Bird Specials, from 5 to7PM are a great value. The view, across to the ocean (about 120’) when you request front row outside seating (reservation, or pot luck), just tops off an excellent experience. Pat & Alice Mac Naulty [25 Feb 2007 17:52:27]
