Heady Adventure! I'm so surprised not to find a review of this excellent sushi bar! Although, the wise may think it's preferable to keep it's location a secret. We've been visiting Maui for many years, and always make it a point to partake of Hiro Kudo's mmaculate talents. His wife, Tokiko, is alas, no longer with us. Us 'fraidy-cats can dine to our heats' content on the more "Americanized" versions of sushi & sashimi, but watching the gourmands and visitors from Japan relish delicacies a little too daring for my palate, is an adventure in itself. This spotless restaurant is open only during the evening, and seating is limited, so get there early! [20 May 2006 17:46:53]

World Class Traditional Sushi We were lucky to have two of us get in without reservations (as we witnessed several parties being turned away as they were told reservations would take up the remaining seats for the night). The owner/chef was friendly as he served traditional and exceptional sushi. This is not a place where you should expect a large staff waiting on your every need. However, even when all 16 seats are taken, Mr. Kudo and his assistant gave every bit of their attention, in an orderly manner. This is not a "razzle dazzle," "shi shi" or chic restaurant with a catalogue of specialty rolls. While those can be great when the food is also good, they are a dime a dozen, unlike Mr. Kudo's gem in the back of a small strip mall in Kihei. [10 Jan 2007 10:01:47]
