Great little hole-in-the-wall sushi bar
I had maguro sashimi, kappa maki, and teka maki. The fish and cucumbers were very fresh. The rice was freshly made.

The proprietor bent over backward to make sure we had as good a meal as possible. Though his first language is Japanese, he is more than able to communicate, and he is very friendly.

The restaurant was very clean. It was about as ethnic Japanese as you will ever find.

This is not a large restaurant. It might sit 30 at most, but it is a great spot for a quiet lunch or dinner.

Next time I am in Lahaina, I am heading straight for Japanese Restaurant Yama!    [17 Aug 2003 00:05:09]
