Had a great time in Decatur's Cheddar's.
We had a party of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids) on a Saturday night. We had to wait, however, they have magician who went around and did majic tricks and made different animal balloons for all the kids. Our server, Ben, was really great. He made us feel right at home. We had great service, and the food was terrific. The best part of the night was when Ben and a couple of other servers sang "Happy Birthday" to my son.    [29 Dec 2002 23:59:33]

dissappointed
Me and two of my associates ordered lunch from Chedder's on June 18, 2003 around 1:00 by phone and we were to pick up our meal and were very dissappointed. After placing our order we asked for a total, we were on hold for about 13 minutes. Then when one of my associates went to pick up our meal, not all of it was there so she asked to speak to a manager. He explained that she wrote the rest of the meal on the back of the paper and never added to the ticket. My associate was very upset b/c we only get a 30 minute lunch and did not have time for them to cook the rest of the food. The manager then explained that they hire teenagers and that we should be understanding if they do not do it correctly. I do not believe that that is a good enough excuse. I work at Babies R Us and we have young adults as well, and our excuse can never be that we hire teenagers and these pregnant women should understand. I am very upset that that was the managers answer and did not even apologize for the inconvience.    [19 Jun 2003 10:37:13]

I visited the restaurant on july, 21, 2003. I received my dinner and as I ate my first bite of broccoli casserole I bit down on something hard as I pulled it out of my mouth it was a large packaging staple. I informed my waiter and the manager came to the table and stated if I wanted I could have a free desert. I am not a complainer but at this time I was very unpleased with how the situation was handled. I am a registered nurse in the emergency dept. located in this town. If I had swallowed the staple several different medical problems could have arose that could have went from a perforated bowel to other serious problems.    [22 Jul 2003 04:05:55]

The best restaurant in Kingsport, TN
You can always tell how good a restaurant is by the parking lot, and Cheddar's is always packed! It is my favorite place to go because of the affordable prices and variety of dishes. The atmosphere is great and the service is always prompt and happy. Five stars!!!    [17 Apr 2004 19:17:11]

I do not see why people like this place. In my opinion you can do better with Chilies or Fridays. I had the blackened salmon. It was not blackened, they had some spices on it but it was definitely not blackened. I tried my sisters hamburger, and it tasted like a McDonald's burger to me. In general, the only thing I can think that people like about this restaurant is that it is cheaper. It is not worth saving 2-3 dollars a meal for bad food in my opinion.    [15 Dec 2006 03:09:32]
