Doose Cafe is located on the east side of the Marengo, Iowa town square in the historic Doose Hotel building. On display are relics of the hotel, including guest registers dating back to 1909.

At Doose Cafe we have over sixty food item and forty beverages to choose from which offer a wide varity that appeals to many tasts and appetites.

Breakfast ranges from biscuits and gravy to a sirloin steak and egg breakfast. Our coffee is ground fresh, and we serve a flavored "Coffee of the Day".

Lunch and dinner ranges from a grilled cheese sandwich to a rib eye steak dinner. Our sandwhich selection is unequaled in a small town restaurant. The selection includes hamburgers (including our trademark one pound Bull Burger and Doose Burger Brat), ruebens, philly cheese steak, catfish, and grilled chicken. An equally large selection of a la carte sides are available to accompany your sandwich. Our selection of plate dinners includes chicken tenders, country fried steak, grilled chicken, cajon catfish, grilled cod loin, sirloin steak, and ribeye steak.

If you are wanting dessert, or just an afternoon snack, we offer soft serve ice cream with a selection of toppings, shakes, and homemade desserts baked by our local pie maker Evelyn.
