The Best Mexican in Oak Park After moving to Oak Park a number of years ago and trying all of the Mexican restaurants, New Rebozo is, by far, our favorite. Although New Rebozo can be under-staffed during the week and the service can be slow when they are busy, the food is worth it. The specials are always interesting, authentic Mexican dishes. The regular menu also offers authentic dishes such as pollo con mole as well as standard Mexican-American favorites like burritos. The restaurant is outside of the downtown Oak Park area, but is well worth the trouble. The owner, Paco, is friendly, greeting regulars by name. He and the food keep us coming back time after time. Oh My God Delicious! If you want to feel warm and fuzzy all over, come to this unassuming and charming little eatery nestled off the beaten path in Oak Park. You will be greeted by Paco, the owner, with a hearty hug and a sunny smile, and you will keep coming back - guaranteed! Paco's elegant specials are so exquisitely assembled and presented, they mercilessly shatter stereotypes most of us have about what is traditionally Mexican. If you are lucky, you may be licking your fingers after finishing a plate of red snapper garnished with mushrooms and wrapped in a banana leaf, or smacking your lips after sampling one of Paco's delectable creations with creamy and delecate goat cheese. However, don't frown upon Paco's Tacos - they are certainly worth putting the owner's name next to them. And if you are brave at heart, then pancho villas are your ticket. Make sure you have a glass of water filled before you embark on that adventure. All in all, two thumbs up to Paco and the team! [26 Nov 2002 14:55:11]

Need to try the new rebozo This is the best that Oak Park and Chicago can have for a Mexican restaurant. The new Rebozo has a lot of dishes that you can try and almost every week there are new specials. Try the special margaritas they are to die for. [21 May 2004 03:39:41]

Great Service and Exceptional food From the outside you would never believe what is going on in the inside.
Once you open that door be prepared for many delights. The customer service is GREAT. The owner comes to your table and greets you, talks with you, makes you feel at home. Then there is the food. Fabulous is all I can say. I have dined at many Mexican restaurants, authentic restaurants, and this is a step above all others. The black beans are delicious, and tacos are great. The margaritas are the best also. I will go there many times and so should you. Thanks Paco for a great restaurant... [18 Aug 2005 08:45:28]

A different view I had heard that this was supposed to be a good restaurant with great food. Well first the place is very overcrowded, too many tables and if you're claustrophobic stay away. As for the prices $10.95 for a pitcher of diet Depsi seems a little high, $22 for Pepsi, I would have been better off with a margarita. They have a burrito that cost $25, I don't know what they can put on it for that price, but it is big. Now as for the food, yes it was good but not for the hidden costs. Oh, by the way the service was not good they messed up 2 of our 4 dishes. [04 Mar 2006 22:17:52]
