The Pancake House
The food is fantastic - very different than your ordinary restaurant breakfast with lots of choices of flavored pancakes, syrups, crepes, the breakfast meats are great and serving sizes are more than adequate. For Southwest Kansas there is a real plus on the menu - grits for the southern palate. Waitresses are always helpful, polite, although one of them and the hostess are sometimes a bit "noisy" for an early morning crowd. Just SW Kansas hospitality, I guess. They seem to know everyone that comes in and it is really a "small hometown atmosphere."    [23 Aug 2003 06:13:11]

Recommended Dishes: all of their specials are good, but the apple pancake is well worth the 20 minute prep time. Be sure to use the apple flavored syrup!

Best Breakfast in Liberal
Although I'm not a big pancake fan, I've enjoyed several egg/bacon/potato breakfasts here. A very large menu selection. Recommended. At the east end of "Pancake Ave."...U.S.54.    [10 Feb 2004 14:38:15]

Unforgettable
It's been since 1998 that I was sent to Liberal KS for work and ate at the Pancake House, now I'm home trying to figure out what to make the kids for breakfast. All that comes to mind is the pancakes/crepes at the Pancake House. Someday I will return for the best. It's a great way to start the day.    [03 Dec 2006 09:25:10]
