Beautiful People, Wonderful Restaurant When I was growing up in this neighborhood in the early 50's, this was the main "hangout" for all the kids. The food was great and we were all treated like family. When I returned in 1986 with my wife I found the same wonderful food and the same great hospitality. I will always recommend the Anchor Grill for a great place to eat. [02 Oct 2001 22:08:23]

Good Food / Great Price I know, it doesn't look like much from the outside. But don't let that stop you from stopping by and trying the Cheeseburger and Onion Rings at the Anchor Grill. You will be shocked at the low price and the tasty food.
This is a locally kept secret that needs to get out. ...put it on your food to do list. [17 Nov 2002 01:33:47]

Damn good I have been going to the Anchor for over 35 years and it has never lost it's charm. I even had some friends in from New York and they wanted to go to the place they read about in a travel magazine. The Anchor is getting famous! [07 Dec 2002 10:29:12]

They May Doze but Never Close Who can resist the neon sign in the window "We May Doze But Never Close." After a dance, before a movie -- anytime is a good time for a visit to the Anchor Grill. Don't miss the side room with the jukebox. Play something - anything - so you can see the curtain open and the all-doll band performing. Enjoy! [26 Feb 2003 13:26:41]

Diner Scene Atmosphere and Great Food The anchor is a great place to go to late night when you have had one to many to drink and you just need to have a sit down and sober up. Food is great prices affordable and while there you get the feeling your in an old flick. It gives you that diner scene feel. I cannot lie the service is not always commendable but they try so what more could you ask for. [22 Sep 2007 02:15:40]
