The Best Prime Rib
The Village Inn has the best prime rib around. If you love prime rib, definitely go to the Village Inn. You'll thank me later.    [27 Aug 2003 02:11:23]

Good Times
Just had a party at the Village Inn. Everything was awesome. The food, the service, everything was perfect. The prime rib and the baked haddock were to die for. Also three cheers to Mike, who was our waiter. What a professional job he did, polite, prompt, anything we wanted he was more than happy to accommodate. Will be back real soon.    [30 Aug 2003 21:00:33]

Valentine's Day
We had a great time and a great meal. We will be back soon for sure. Scallops were the best and the tips and chicken were d-licious.    [13 Feb 2004 20:51:53]

Great Fresh Food
The hubby and I went to the Village Inn last weekend, and the food was great. I had the Surf and Turf (sirloin tips and baked scallops) and my hubby had the Fisherman's Platter. Both had excellent portions and came piping hot to the table.

My husband, who is ultra-picky with his food, said that the fish was the freshest he's had in a long time. My sirloin tips were quite good, but the scallops in particular were delicious. The breadcrumb topping was quite tasty, and wasn't all mushy like the way it might get at other restaurants.

My only "complaints" were that the waitress seemed to forget about us after we ordered our meal - in fact, she mentioned it when she was handing us the check. After she gave us the check, she realized she hadn't even asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee or anything. She seemed really preoccupied with everything else besides us, so if we wanted anything, it would have been impossible to ask her about because she'd run off without even looking either of us in the eye.

The ambience was a bit crowded and nosiy, despite the fact that we were given a table upstairs. I don't really fault the restaurant for that though, since it was one party in particular that was being really loud. Otherwise, we were glad that the Village Inn doesn't pump loud music throughout, like most restaurants do nowadays.

I think the draws of the place are 1) the good, fresh food and 2) the casual, friendly atmosphere. It looked like most of the customers were locals who had been coming to the place for years, and will continue to do so. I think the hubby and I will be joining them! ;)    [06 Apr 2004 02:20:38]

Simply Awesome
Everything was great--steak tips, scallops, stuffed shrimp--service was great too. I highly recommend the Village Inn to anyone who wants a great meal at reasonable prices.    [02 Oct 2004 18:05:54]

Nice
Nice homey atmosphere and great haddock and scallops. I had the Atlantic haddock/scallops combo and my husband had the Village Inn Haddock. He liked mine better but his was great as well! Nice short wait (less than 20 minutes) on a Friday night at 6:30 and a nice little bar to sit at while we were waiting. Highly recommend!    [29 Oct 2006 16:52:45]

Great Service
My husband and I visited the Village Inn for a quick bite but stayed and dined. We had incredible service from "secret." She was prompt, polite and witty. The food was excellent as well.    [14 Jun 2007 15:06:52]
