Hidden Treasure I live in Easton and am rarely on this stretch of RT 138 but was immediately intrigued by the inviting exterior of Loco. I went with my boyfriend on Saturday night and found it to be charming, delightful, delicious, and unique. I love tapas and would never have thought I could find it so close to home.
The service was incredible, the food imaginative and diverse. Each tapas dish was perfectly proportioned for two people to share without fighting for the the last bite. We each ordered two tapas dishes and shared and did not have room for dessert. I did see a dessert walk by and wished I had saved room.
I am a wine lover and the list is long but opted for an Espresso Martini the only drink I will cheat on red wine with and was more than pleased! Perfectly concocted with real espresso bean garnish. From the incredibly friendly staff to the warm and inviting atmosphere not to mention a foodie's very satisfied palate Loco is outstanding and I will be back often. [22 Jan 2007 12:41:07]

Metropolitan Dining in the 'Burbs This restaurant is exactly what I was looking for! It is an excellent place to get wonderful, European style cuisine without having to go all the way into Boston. Have to admit, that it is in an odd spot, but the signage makes it fairly easy to find. The ambiance is a slightly mysterious, Morisco-Spanish feel, but manages to be fully modern at the same time. It has small tables for dinner, and a good cocktail lounge that has a full bar and seating choices from tall tables to low sofas. I was sort of wondering when someone was going to break out a hooka. I would recommend it as a great place for a date or small intimate meal.
The food was very well prepared and the presentation was class A. We ate off of the Tapas Menu, and the portions were much smaller than expected, but we did not feel as though we were not well fed. In fact, the rich food filled us right up. We tried the following:
Assorted Spanish cheeses with membrillo and crostini Tortilla de Español - Spanish egg and potato omelet, romesco sauce Sizzling gambes - shrimp sautéed with garlic & herbs Mojito marinated chicken & beef skewers with grilled lime
All were excellent to me, though the cheese thing is best recommended for cheese connoisseurs who understand the different tastes and textures of cheeses.
We finished off the meal with a chocolate flan, which was smooth and creamy, with little nuggets of pure cocoa to spice it up.
The drinks were also made very well. I haven’t had a mojito made properly like this since I lived in NJ and used to frequent a Spanish-Cuban fusion restaurant. They actually throw a stick of real sugar cane in there. The sangria is also very good. Careful of the drinks though, they’ll sneak up on you, partly because they are so tasty that you drink them right down.
Price wise, it may be considered expensive to some, and I wouldn’t go there every day, but I think that the food was worth every penny.
I will definitely go there again, and I strongly recommend it if you are looking for a nice place to go. [11 Jul 2007 22:21:41]

Don't Bother While the service was good and the wine list was nice and reasonably priced, the food was clumsy, poorly prepared and not a good value.
A mussels dish was so spicy there was no trace of the flavor of the shellfish. Seared foie gras was burned. Their "Pork Duo" featured 2 slices of pork tenderloin and 2 tablespoons of BBQ pulled pork (How BBQ pork is tapas is beyond me) for $10. It was about 3 ounces of pork.
The chef did offer us a redo of the foie gras which we declined. There was no apology. All she said was, "Thank you."
All in all a waste of time and money. [20 Jul 2007 21:50:32]

Stunning Experience at Loco My group and I visited Loco on Saturday evening. The food was delicious, amazingly presented, and quite reasonably priced (my group agreed).
The service was very attentive and quite informative.
The restaurant itself was just stunning. The owner stopped at our table and spent as much time as we needed. He offered suggestions of food and wine pairings, helped us with our Spanish wines, and even educated us on the origin of tapas.
All in all, this was one of the best dining experiences I have had in many years. I'm so thrilled that I don't have to drive to the city for this type of dining. [26 Aug 2007 15:51:19]
