Greatest Service We visited the Bayou Restaurant on Memorial Day weekend. We had called ahead and made a reservation for a party of 12.
The service was the best we've ever had when we've been with that many people! The waitress was the best! Unfortunately I don't remember her name. Usually when we go to a restaurant with that many people, the service is terrible. Not so in this case!
The food was also good. We had a variety of different dishes from their menu.
Very enjoyable and we'll certainly go back. [24 Jun 2002 15:23:15]

2nd Thoughts We have come here to eat many times even though it's a nearly 2-hour drive. We have always had delicious dinners with excellent service, but our last visit was somewhat of a disappointment. First of all, the menu has been changed since our last visit with our favorite Alaska King Crab Legs being eliminated. Instead we had shrimp & mussels, both of which were quite tasty. A card was on the table listing the desserts for the day, but only one of the 5 was available. Our waitress was less than enthusiastic in serving us, being more attentive to a larger party at a neighboring table. We will certainly think twice before making the trip again. Exceptional food We took a family party of twelve in, with a reservation, and were provided very good service by a hard working young waitress. My daughter-in-law, a Baltimore native, makes the most superb crab cakes you've ever tasted. My son, waiving all husbandly caution, said the crab cake he ate was the best he's ever tasted. To my surprise, my daughter-in-law said the same thing. The rest of us adults (the children will eat anything!) had similar comments about the soft crab sandwich (my choice), fried fish sandwich, crab soup and seafood salad. Upon our return to Wilmington (Delaware)we set about making plans to return with our friends. DO NOT MISS AN OPPORTUNITY TO DINE HERE! Mel Stout [03 Jul 2006 11:09:27]
