Bad Experience... On my second visit to Ken's Steak House in Havre De Grace Md. was a bad experience. The wait was 1 hour, the waitress only came be a few times. We had to have other servers help us. There was long blonde hair in the bread bowl, the potato salad had under cooked potato's. My steak, and my husband's steaks where bland and under cooked, I sent mine back, my husband ate his out of hunger. I will not return and it is too bad, it is a nice place, but, it seems like a bunch of kids are running it. I thought atleast a manager could have stoped by to say something regarding the meal... Great Crabcakes! My husband and I eat at Ken's often we bring guests from out of town there. the wait can be long so reservations are a good idea. The food has always been good. [17 Feb 2007 13:28:11]

Great Jumbo Lump Crabmeat My husband and I have had 3 meals at Ken's with the last two since the recent change in ownership. Ken's has a casual ambiance with some nautical decor, perfect for the quaint coastal town of Havre de Grace. The bar area is centrally located and is small and quiet. We have each ordered the crab cake dinner once. The 1st time there was a lot of jumbo lump crab in them and the second time, a little more breading but still good jumbo lumps. We think the seasoning is very good. The portions are generous with ours having a large salad, bread, and two vegetables with our main entree. I ordered the Veal de Grace, which is veal with jumbo lump crab on top. It was delicious as were the fresh green beans. There is a chicken version of this entree that my friend said was very good too. We chose to share the dessert of Reese's Peanut Butter Torte. Sinfully good! It isn't always on the menu, so it was a treat that evening. We have also liked the Raspberry Marble Cheesecake. Our meals were relaxed with a normal wait time. Our most recent meal was the end of March, where we brought another couple with us. We enjoyed our day's touring of Havre de Grace and then concluded the trip with dinner at Ken's. It was a great ending to an enjoyable day trip from Towson, MD. We would definitely include a meal at Ken's with our next visit. [22 Apr 2007 15:44:03]

Great Food The food at Ken's is fantastic. I've eaten there three times now for dinner. All meals that I ate were excellent. I've tried the Crab Cakes, and they are some of the best I've had in Maryland. Made on premises, and I'd guess over 90% Jumbo lump crab meat. I also had one of the new salads on the menu, it was very fresh and tasty. But, the best meal that I have had are the ribs. I got the full rack, and with the salad and sides it was a HUGE amount of food. The ribs are the best I've tasted, they are very meaty, and the meat practically falls off of the bone, and the sauce that they use is great! [26 Jun 2007 19:22:26]
