Reliable & enjoyable yet not unusual
This restaurant features the standard Washington area Italian Restaurant menu (based on a template probably set by Pines of Rome or AV Ristorante). They also feature some nice specials, such as salmon or rockfish, which tend to be your best bets, although expensive. The food tends to be consistently good, but doesn't necessarily stand out other than the specials. Very tight parking in the small lot. Essentially similar to the Italian Pines in Gaithersburg, which has the same owners (I believe) and a similar menu with a bit nicer atmosphere (in my opinion), lower prices, and smaller crowds    [23 May 2000 11:22:28]

Like Italy to Me!!
I thoroughly enjoy Il Pinito Trattoria. It's quiet and kind of reminds me of some of the restaurtants along the italian countryside.    [07 Dec 2005 17:54:36]

Great little neighborhood place
There is a great selection of traditional Italian dishes served by friendly staff. I think it is a family owned restaurant. They will prepare dishes with special dietary considerations, if asked.

One of the Best in Rockville!
