Good place for Regional Fare This restaurant is a fine addition to Harbor Country. The place complements other restaurants in the area, like Timothy's - excellent seafood; Horsefeathers (across the road from SOE's) is good food in a casual setting; and old reliable Red Arrow Roadhouse that has a "Cheers Bar" atmosphere with excellent food, while also catering to kids.
SOE's, on the other hand, is great for steaks, chops, chicken, pasta (not the run of the mill stuff, but freshly prepared pesto or marinara with herbs), and great martinis. They use locally grown produce - and there is a lot available in the summer. It is a little more dressed up, while not excluding the resort casual crowd. [21 Apr 2006 14:36:05]

A Delectable Find in Harbor Country SOE is appears to be a newly rehabbed old cape decorated in art gallery style with lovely artwork and tech lighting and banquette seating with comfy pillows, vaulted ceilings, interesting architecture and a fireplace. There is a less inviting, but adequate three-season area also and a small bar, suitable for waiting for the rest of your party but not much else.
The food is creative, exceptionally well-presented and always prepared fresh with fine ingredients. The menu evolves but never changes entirely. The wine list is varied and always contains some exceptional choices. Dessert portions are enormous.
The staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgable about the menu items. [11 Jun 2006 23:43:15]

Great atmosphere, Good food, Uneven service Soe has a very cute space, and the food is quite good (especially for the price). My only issue is that service can be slow at times. Sometimes I don't see my server for long stretches of time, as if they are off chatting in the kitchen. So it's a good place, but I don't go if I'm in a hurry. [23 May 2007 13:37:11]
