Great for breakfast all day, pass on the rest
Vertin's has been a landmark in Ely for many years and is still a hangout for locals wanting a cup of coffee and the latest gossip.

If you're looking for a diner atmosphere, this is your place. Vertin's offers breakfast all day, a good thing. Don't bother with dinner, though. The meat is overdone, the vegetables soggy, the wild rice side is tasteless.

Come early in the day for their famous homemade caramel rolls. They're unbeatable!    [18 Mar 2003 22:48:35]

Wonderful breakfasts
Wonderful breakfasts - hashbrowns cooked on both sides! Chicken wild rice and creamy tomato basil soups are a must to try when available. Their broasted chicken is the best I've ever tasted. Very friendly, efficient staff. In the evening the pub is a nice change from noisy bars. Great beer, wine and liquor selections.
