I like the cuisine that was served with the cinnamon towels. They refreshed me. I plan to visit this fine establishment once again. I especially liked the freshly prepared strawberries dipped in dark smoothing chocolate.    [31 May 2002 15:03:43]

Annette
Go to the Lake Elmo Inn. It has great servers always like Annette, she is the most wonder full waitress ever, she has a wonderful smile and a personality that can't be beat.    [27 Jul 2002 14:12:14]

Great Place to Spend an Evening and worth the drive!
What a wonderful place to dine. Service is outstanding. Chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert add just the touch.
The Sunday Brunch is the best bet! It's worth the drive. Definately a place to take your in-laws and relatives too.
Parking can be a problem at times. Recommend reservations. If you're into salt and pepper shakers this is the place to visit.    [13 Feb 2003 11:25:05]

Finest Dining Around!
Whenever we get through Minnesota, we go out of our way to spend one night, so we can dine here. Everything is the best! Wine, food, atmosphere, customer service, they've got it all!    [04 Mar 2003 18:02:15]

A little disapointed
Out of all the good things I've heard about the Sunday brunch I was not impressed, My wife and I were able to get reservations in the bar at 12:00 and it was obvious that a couple of patrons had a few too many morning coctails, and the ambiance was very loud and obnoxious (I do believe the center of attention was actually an off duty employee). I also noticed a number of young people eating brunch in the waiting area which we thought was very tacky.    [04 Apr 2003 11:19:00]

tuesday lunch buffet
we were strongly discouraged when we stated we wished to order from the menu, so we ended up getting the buffet.
when we ordered a drink and wine before our meal we were told THREE times to go to the buffet, so we felt we could not relax with our drinks. They should tell people they do not serve from the menu [on the buffet lunch day] because she clearly did not want us to do so. I would not go again on that particular day. We are, otherwise, fans of Lake Elmo Inn
and it is a frequent destination.    [07 Dec 2004 18:18:42]

Surprised disappointment
One of your choices for service describes our evening at Lake Elmo Inn last night. We've been there before and, of course, have high expectations but I've never experienced this level of rude at the Taco Wagon. Unfortunately, poor service overwhelmed the experience. Comment to stress: What Service? Rude and ignored us altogether. Complaints were ignored.    [20 Sep 2006 10:13:17]

Very disappointed
My family and I went to the Sunday brunch this past spring. We noticed right away how extremely warm it was in the dining area. When the waitress finally came and brought our champagne we informed her we would be taking the brunch versus menu she said she be right back with more champagne - half our group went into the long line for the buffet - she came back and I ordered oj for all of us - she brought back one - she wasn't happy when I corrected her about this. Needless to say the buffet lines were very long - food slow in coming - egg shells in the eggs benedict - oj was VERY warm - syrup always empty - just not a great experience! Haven't been back since. Started going to the St. Paul Grill for special events.    [29 Sep 2006 13:41:07]
