Recommended Dishes: The beef burgundy is phenominal, try the salmon pate, the leek and potatoe soup, and I definately recommend saving room for desert. They are all good

If this restaurant was in our town in California, reservations would be months in advance. Does St. Louis truly appreciate how good this restaurant is? We have been to Provence and many fine restaurants in Europe and the U.S. This rates way up there on the scale of fine dining!! Keep it up!    [06 Nov 2002 19:36:37]

My new favorite restaurant
My experience was superb, thanks to the table requested, the lamb, and most of all to Christie.    [14 Feb 2003 14:04:41]

A Country Retreat in the Heart of Kirkwood
This is my absolute favorite restaurant! The food is outstanding and the service extraordinary. The outdoor dining patio reminds me of France/Spain.    [07 Sep 2004 10:36:13]

An Amazing Evening
Upon arriving, we were greated by the bubbly host, Ryan, who made our evening perfect. We were ushered to the bar where we had luscious drinks. Then on to our table, where we had outstanding food and service. I highly recommend the anchovy pizza appetizer (of course, it has a fancy French name that I absolutely cannot even attempt to spell), and whatever fish is the catch of the day. This is a first class, first rate restaurant. I love it, and would recommend it to anyone -- only I wouldn't take my children there, not because they wouldn't enjoy it, but I want the special ambiance all to myself!    [25 Sep 2006 11:13:23]

Food: *****   Service: *****   Ambiance: *****   Overall: *****
Recommended Dishes: It is all good! Leave room for creme brulee.

ASTONISHING AND CONSISTENT
The French "country" cooking is superb. The menu is moderately-priced, service is excellent, and the intimate cafe setting transports you to a bistro in Provence. The wine list is sophisticated and a good value.    [20 Jan 2007 17:37:01]

Recommended Dishes: Beef daube; pork chops with butcher's wife sauce

Leisurely lunch, my favorite!
Have always been pleased with the dinners here. Recently met a friend for a birthday lunch on their patio. Could not have asked for a better experience to make my friend feel pampered on her birthday. I have special diet needs and they were most accommodating.    [01 Jun 2007 12:36:48]

Recommended Dishes: Lunch - Salad Nicoise

This is one of the greatest all-time restaurants in the metropolitan area. No matter what dish you order on/off the menu, it is cooked to perfection. It has one of the greatest outdoor patios in town. You will never go wrong taking a special someone to this special place for a special occasion.    [25 Jul 2007 22:30:40]
