Great sushi
Haruno is one of my favorite places in Springfield to eat and their sushi is some of the best I have ever had.
I think Haruno is pretty well known for their chic but comfortable atmosphere and it is just right for a casual dinner or a formal occasion.
Almost every sushi roll I have had at Haruno was pretty good. I especially like their Eye of the Tiger, Philly roll and Spicy Tuna roll. Their miso is also pretty tasty. I haven't tried too many of their entrees or appetizers, but I hear they are good.
The service is generally pretty good, the waiters are knowledable and courteous and I usually don't have to ask for a refill.
Most of the food is a bit pricey, but it's usually worth it.    [24 Mar 2004 18:12:08]

If you are eating sushi in Springfield eat it at Harunos
I have been going to Harunos for years and there isn't another sushi place in Spfd that comes close. I love the lobster rolls, the spicey tuna #2, sex and the city, I even like the eel and I never like eel. The atmosphere is like a mini vacation, cool jazz, great wait staff, wonderfully minimal decor. If only I could eat at Haruno's every day...
I have eaten sushi in Las Vegas, Florida and Texas. These restaurants should all attempt to imitate the same class, professionalism, atmosphere and, of course, the food. I am proud to say that Haruno is a part of my home town.    [01 Jan 2006 16:10:36]

Excellent sushi with romantic ambiance...
I've been to Haruno's with friends about three or four times in the past year or so. Everytime it has been an enjoyable experience. The sushi is excellent in both freshness and quality, the service is attentive, their drinks are good, and the decor in both the lounge and the dining room is elegant. Soooo good!
After living in large cities like Dallas, Boston, and Orlando I was not holding my breath for Springfield cuisine. But there are so many delightful places to eat here! Harunos is up at the top. Best Sushi I've ever had. And you can order it even at midnight! The ambience during the day and night are both fun. Excellent martinis for an evening out, or great lunch deals.
