Can't Beat Their Meat
Quaint little "Mom & Pop" specializing in choice steaks, ribs, and Yellowfin tuna, cooked over charcoal and pecan wood. The beer is iced-down daily.

Originally opening in 1940, as Bill Beard's Beer Joint, serving WWII soldiers deploying overseas, Don and Elle Gill revived the old heart pine shack in 1990 and continue to serve soldiers, rednecks, and millionaires.

Best Steak Ever
I've eaten a lot of steaks in my life but this one has to be the best I've ever had. I had heard a lot of talk about this down-home restaurant and expected the food to be good, but it surpassed my expectations. If you're looking for "fancy", this isn't the place for you, but if you're out for delicious food served in a relaxed atmosphere, this is where to go!    [27 Sep 2006 10:26:07]
