Best seafood around...
I'm big on seafood, but it must be cooked to perfection before I will recommend it to anyone. Bo Don's makes it easy to spread the word, because perfection is exactly what they serve!

The place is very down home, so no need to dress up... Go in your flip flops and jeans, pull up to a table and just enjoy.

The service is outstanding, with friendly people who treat you like you're family... The waitress we had, Lisa, remembered my name after being told once by another member of my party. Our glasses stayed full and the crab legs kept coming straight out of the water and to our table all evening. We were treated like royalty!    [26 May 2007 01:12:39]

Jazz Fest Rest Stop
This place is mandatory to and from NOLA. We found it 10 years ago in its previous location from a little sign seen from I-55. We stopped on the way back and got there on Sunday, Mothers Day. There were 4 different buffet tables, a dessert table and TWO soft serve machines. Fried "catfish, pork chops, okra, bread, potatoes, ..." get the picture? Vanilla wafer-bananna pudding, creamed corn, meat loar, mashed patatoes, white and brown gravy... Every comfort food imagined was there. I won't start on the pies. We got done just as the ladies with big hair and men with suspenders were walking in. My buddy Spikey sez, "Wear your big belly!"    [14 Sep 2007 15:01:19]
