Don't be startled by the couple reclining on their side at the low whicker table and eating with their hands-- that's how it's meant to be done. The pancake-like, buckwheat bread, injira, is the perfect utensil for Ethiopian dishes. - CitySearch - suggest change

Best I've Had!
I lived two years in Ethiopia and find the Blue Nile to be the best Ethiopian food I've had in the outside of the country. I've stopped in a number of restaurants in DC, NYC, and Boston and find that the injera and wats are more similar to the restaurants of Addis than anyplace I've been. Until I was outside of the restaurant, I thought that I was back in Addis.    [18 May 2003 21:53:33]

Delicious & Not Too Spicy
Even my kids liked the food here, and that's saying a lot! You can order almost anything off the menu, even if it's listed as hot, and ask for it to be prepared mildly. Kids love the fact that they can eat with their fingers and not get scolded. The hot tea is sweet, fragrant and soothing. The only dish we tried that we didn't particularly care for was the sambosas -- too greasy.    [16 Mar 2004 22:37:40]
