This Expertly Run Dive Is So Cool!
There was just an article in the paper about Hot Dog World selling over 5 million hotdogs. You go in and stand in line and order, and they make it and have it ready for you at the end of the line. I have never known them to make a mistake. We call in lunch orders here a lot, and never have to check and see if they left something out. Good food for cheap prices!    [05 Feb 2004 11:01:54]

Hot Dog World
Hot Dog world is a great restaurant and has been around for many years. People everywhere come to enjoy this great one of a kind place. Hot Dog world has also stood the test of time since the 1950’s it has thrived in down town Hendersonville. It is a classic because of the food, atmosphere, and the friendly people. The food at this eatery is traditional American food. There is just about any kind of hot dog or hamburger you can ask for, like foot longs, jumbo dogs, slaw dogs, triple cheese burgers, chuck wagons, and chili cheese burgers. They also offer great dessert or snacks like malts, milk shakes, cookies, and ice cream. If this style of food doesn’t interest you they have exotic dishes too from gyros to Greek salads and much more. I've known the owner's family since I was three, and my family and I go there at least once a week, sometimes more. No matter what you get, it's going to be delicious! WHY did we wait so long to try this place?
As seasonal residents, we put off visiting all during 2005, and didn't go in until a month or so ago (Sep 2006). WHY? Probably because there was no room!! WHY? Because it's incredible - absolutely wonderful. Despite the crowds, orders are taken with care (and much patience to an elderly diner), and filled quickly and completely. Getting a table at lunchtime could be a small challenge, but the turnover is fast, so you don't have to wait but a moment. The place is incredibly clean despite the volume. And the food?
