As downtown Hendersonville's trendy new restaurant, West First Wood-Fired Pizza offers a hip atmosphere situated on the mezzanine level with views of the town's historic Courthouse. Patrons enjoy traditional Neapolitan style pizzas plus a variety of salads, pasta dishes (the pasta is made fresh everyday) and enticing desserts. The sizzling decor boasts crafted mosaics, original paintings and stained glass panels. And you can't miss the open kitchen and massive traditional wood-fired oven. Beer and wine are served from the unique curved concrete bar.

Great dining!
You've got to go here for a great beer and pizza night! Their pizza's have an incredible thin crust and sauce is VERY tasty! They have a beer selection that is out of this world but don't expect to be able to order a Bud or Mich because they do GOOD beer! Entrees, salads and apps are wonderful too! Really, really good pizza
I have definitely eaten pizza in my day – Frank Pepe's Pizzeria Napoletana and Sally's Apizza in New Haven - supposedly the best, but this was just as good; in fact, it was WONDERFUL!

Really nice people, atmosphere and the food - just awesome. Beer selection is a treat.    [24 Jul 2008 10:49:45]
