German Food? Went there last weekend and was very disappointed. The special was sauerbrauten. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it. Unfortunately it was NOT sauerbraten. It was thin roast beef with a poor excuse for a sour sauce.
Pretty pricey for a faux German meal! [22 Oct 2003 16:15:08]

Excellent I thought I was back in the motherland. The Roulade und Knodel was unbelievably good and their desserts are to die for. They even have a kids menu and my two loved the knockwurst. The beer selection was excellent as well. [10 Nov 2003 12:23:09]

I Love Weisswurst I'm a huge fan of German Cafe. I ordered the weisswurst with sauerkraut and it made me want to stand and salute the German flag. If you love weisswurst as much as I do and don't want to travel far to get it, then The German Cafe is the place for you. Just be sure to come with an empty magen. [29 Sep 2005 11:46:37]

AWESOMEE!! The German cafe is by far the best restaurant in the entire world. I have been eating there for 14 years and have yet to be disappointed. Try lunch and dinner, the menus are quite different. The interior design looks just like Germany and the waitresses wear traditional German drendals. A must try if coming to Wilmington.
