Description

This is a neighborhood restaurant with beer that is brewed in the restaurant. The food goes far beyond normal pub fare. The Meun is chef driven and has something for almost everyone, even kids. Everything from classic fish and chips, to slow roasted ribs, to Shrimp and Grits, and Fillet, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. They also have regular fixed price dinners that are paired with their beers.

Decent beer, decent food... loud atmosphere
I personally like the place and wish that W-S had more of these kind of breweries.

I prefer it more for lunch than dinner. It really gets loud in there. The hardwood floors and all hard surfaces makes for an irritatingly loud place for conversation. They really need to put in something like rugs on the floor or walls to quiet it down.

But as for the food, the buffalo meat is good stuff.    [12 Jun 2006 13:12:47]

Need more restaurants like this in W-S!
I have visited this restaurant several times since they first opened, and while they had some troubles at first keeping the more popular beers in stock, and the wait staff sometimes seemed disorganized, they have gotten better and better each time I visit. The beer is very good "craft" quality, and the food is much better than most bars. Both the beers and restaurant alone make it worth a visit. Go there with a little time to spare, and heed the warnings about the place being loud. While I never got the feeling that I couldn't have a private conversation, all the conversations and noise combine to a sort of happy din.
The beer sampler is by far the best beer value, and none of their beers are "wasted space" in the sampler.    [20 Nov 2006 16:21:08]
