The Best Italian Restaurant in Central Jersey Having just moved to the area from New York, I was quite impressed with Domenico's. Elegant atmosphere and incredible food combined with efficient service makes this restaurant New Jersey's "Best Kept Secret". The classy bar crowd also adds to the restaurant's appeal. Excellent Italian Restaurant I have been to Domenico's many times and have yet to be disappointed. The hardest thing to do is to decide which entre to have. Veal, chicken, steak and seafood are all great choices. Very clean and inviting. Fresh mozzarella cheese and fried calamari top the appetizer list. You won't be disappointed! [09 Dec 2003 18:53:03]

Diners beware. I have been to Domenico Ristorante on several occasions and have become more and more disappointed with time. The final time I went was with a group of people. I was upset because the food lacked taste and it seemed it was a bit watered down. Also, the server serving alcohol is underage (she told me she was sixteen - you need to be 18 to serve alcohol in NJ). In general, the alcohol is overpriced for what it is worth. I know the difference between house alcohol and top shelf and what I was served was not what I ordered. There is a non-genuine/non-friendly atmosphere with some staff. When chef departed kitchen, he did not seem warm and friendly towards the customers. Also the dessert menu claims everything is homemade, but the same identical chocolate like cake is served elsewhere. This place does have an attractive appeal but do not let it fool you. Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Not the steak: the temperature has never once been accurate, and not the seafood: it's too fishy.
