I have ordered cakes from Deming Pastry 3 times during the past year for my Mom who lives in Deming. I live out of state and had them delivered each time. Wow! Never Again
I wish I could say my experience with Deming Pastry was similar to the previous reviewer, but unfortunately it was quite opposite. After 3 attempts to call to place my order (maybe that should have been my sign to not order from them) I finally got in touch with them and placed my order. The gentleman taking my order could not give me a price, so the next day someone called me back with a price. I mailed my check immediately, including with my payment my order again. In my order I asked that the cake be delivered ~10am on the 15th of February. It wasn't there until Saturday, and the recipient of the cake was told that delivery was attempted on the 15th but no one was home. I don't believe that for a moment - the recipient was waiting for the cake all morning. She left the house at 4pm for awhile - maybe they attempted to deliver at 4pm, only 6 hours late??? Anyway, all of my calls to try and figure out what went wrong have gone unanswered except one - the one they "answered" no one said a word, just sat the phone next to the TV so I could listen to the local news (so thoughtful of them, huh?) and so that any other attempts to get through would result in a busy signal. This company will never again receive business from me or my family. We try to support local business when we can, but next time I'll pick Wal-Mart over Deming Pastry wihout hesitation.    [23 Feb 2007 16:16:44]
