Classic Dandy Burger is a staple of EspaƱola. You haven't been here until you eat at Dandy Burger. I'm a vegetarian, but they have good Garden Burgers. Their guacamole isn't very good, but the rest is cool. It's fun to go there and see the other local people. [31 Aug 2004 18:04:24]

Great Burgers, Long Wait Dandy's has awesome burgers that are freshly made when you order them. Only problem is because of this, it takes about 15 mins to receive your order. If you're not in a hurry, Dandy's is highly recommended and worth the wait! [17 Aug 2006 13:54:33]

Made to order. Family owned for nearly 40 years. It is a Northern New Mexico landmark. It has a surprising amount of items on the menu. Everything is made to order. The employees are courteous. I found it to be a pleasant experience on my way to Taos. Vegetarian items are available as well. Terrific breakfast burritos to eat on the way to Bandelier or Taos. Exceptionally clean. YUMMY YUMMY HOMEMADE FOOD Dandy Burgers is a favorite of our familes when traveling through the quaint town of Espanola, NM located between Santa Fe, NM and Taos, NM. I always have a hard time choosing between several items on the menu. One of my favorite dishes is the Jungle Jane Burger which is loaded with fresh guacamole, green chili, double meat and cheese. My husband loves the Jungle Jim which is the next size up of this burger. The Bandito Burrito is also delicious. Encased within a flour burrito are several types of cheese combined with green chile and deep fried. The combination of warm oozy cheese and spicy green chili always reminds me of home - yum! The Tewa Taco is a meal in itself with Indian frybread as the foundation to hold red chile, lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, cheese and olives. You need to be hungry to take on this dish! My kids love the Pachito - a burrito style hot dog with cheese, chili and lettuce. There are healthy options as well including a veggie burger with fresh guacamole and yummy vegetarian dishes. Their breakfast burritos are also a favorite on our way to Taos to ski. They are full of fresh ingredients and made to order. Many of the same employees have been there since the restaurant opened some thirty-five-plus years ago. Writing this review makes me want to make the nine hour drive to NM just to grab a late night snack! [09 Jul 2008 23:23:35]
