Good all-around Place to Eat Yes, it's a chain. But it has many positive aspects. Parking spaces are large, which is a plus. Chili's is comfortable, the service is more than adequate, the people friendly. The prices are good for the portions and the quality you get. The menu is broad with interesting meals in numerous categories...steak, shrimp, chicken, Mexican, ribs etc. The spinach and artichoke appetizer was very good, the chips with it rather anemic though. The side salad was mostly lettuce with a little shredded carrot; not the freshest lettuce either. I would forgo this-- it was extra! The main courses were delicious, well prepared, and well presented. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The veggies, really good. Broccoli and peppers done just right and deliciously seasoned. The sirloin steak juicy and tender...very good. The ribs were good: meaty without being fatty. The Monterrey chicken was delicious. All in all, a good dining experience. I would rate Chili's on a par with or slightly better than Applebee's...and a notch up from Ruby Tuesday's. [15 Feb 2007 22:28:08]
