Bad Service I was at beffs in Delmar 2 weeks ago and I had the worst service I have ever had. My waitress seemed very snotty to me after she messed up my order, and, in addition, the pizza I ordered was burnt, my husband's hamburger was burnt, and his french fries were over-cooked, I don't think I'll ever go there again. BEFFs in Albany Try the Albany one! The food is great (although the soups are a bit too salty for my tastes), the beers are tasty and the service is unerringly terrific. I've been going there ever since I've moved downtown (6 years now?) and I always leave much happier than when I walked in. The place just does that to you. [23 Jun 2002 21:04:53]

Great Place Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. I had the Vermonter, my husband had a burger, and our daughter had the French dip. All were delicious! The Irish fries are also a nice treat. Couldn't believe the crowd that came for lunch...waiting in the lobby for a place to sit. Will definitely go again. [27 Feb 2003 14:00:08]

Hideous I can sum the whole experience up in one word. Hideous. Especially this one poor ignorant fool who was a bartender there and who constantly chewed on a straw and was rude to everyone he came in contact with. The place has poor service, and is not clean, and I emphasise the not clean. I noticed it has recently closed and I can only hope will not reopen. Big Ed Fat Fields, whoever or whatver he is, certaintly did not have an interest in running this place. This was the only tavern in the area that literally closed its doors at 10:00 on a Saturday night. I mean, a place like this, if you don't make your money on a Friday or Saturday nite, when do you? how to cook beef I went with my family for dinner Saturday and ordered my steak cooked medium and even stressed the point of having it cooked that way to the waitress and when it finally came out it was very well done. I sent it back and in order to get it cooked medium the way it should be I had to tell the waitress to have the cook make it medium rare. I realized they are not Emerill but maybe they should watch the food network a little more often before working as a chef. However, it was tasty. [22 Sep 2004 07:19:27]

Great Greasy Food I have eaten at both BEFF restaurants many times. If you are looking for some artery clogging bar food, this is the place.
All in all, this is a great local restaurant. [09 Jan 2005 09:48:45]
