Don't waste your time I was out running a lunchtime errand, and decided to go to Bumpers (in Armory Center) on a whim.
I should've stuck with my first instinct and gone somewhere else.
The atmosphere is impressive enough, with the automotive atmosphere (it is in an auto dealership complex). With that type of atmosphere, I was expecting something like a good diner or a chain such as Friday's or Bennigan's.
What I got was a major disappointment. The service turned out to be stand-in-line cafeteria style, and the food selection (or rather, lack of) was inadequate. It's something like you'd find at a place marked "Eat At Joe's." I order a club sandwich and chili, and they were nothing to write home about.
The grill person was helpful and friendly enough. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the girl at the register. (She looked like a high schooler. What was she doing here on a school day?) I told her I wanted my meal to go. What does she do? She gave me a piece of aluminum foil and went back to reading her paper. (In her position, I expect her to wrap it for me.)
This was my first time there -- and more than likely, my last time. [22 Sep 2004 13:45:54]
