Delusions of Grandeur? A group of five, including myself, ate there last Wednesday. None of us are tourists, none of us unfamiliar with NY restaurants. This is not an upscale place, just your sort of average, decent Indian restaurant. The entire meal, more than satisfactory in itself was ruined by a huge error on the bill. Oh and by the way, basmati rice, normally provided as a complimentary side in virtually all Indian restuarants I've patronized, was not only extra, a relativley modest portion of it was priced at $12.95. Unaceptable.
I will not return. I'm not sure what management is thinking, or what they were thinking when their communications skills suddenly diminished when I pointed out that we'd been overcharged by at least $20. [13 Aug 2003 07:36:10]
