A Sheer Bite of Pastrami heaven!! Warning:EXPENSIVE This is THE ABSOLUTE tastiet juiciest tenderest pastrami that I have ever sunk my teeth into!!! There is only one thing that I wish they would change about it: THE PRICE! It is outrageously expensive and it keeps going up just because the tourists go there. They don't know that they can get a sandwich for $6. The pastrami sandwich is about $11!!! This is why I can only go there a few times a year. If they would have a all you can eat for that price, then I feel it's ok...but for one measely sandwich that I basically devour in 5 minutes? Also the service could be improved. There are way too many people there ordering and a very little number of people working there, rushing to get the order done. [21 Sep 2003 23:57:46]

Vim Fuego's Pastrami on rye. I came, I saw, I ate. Fantastic, but over priced. [29 Mar 2004 09:43:48]

No good for obese locals So expensive -- I can eat there only a few times a year! Delicious food should be cheap so I can stuff myself real fast, over and over until I'm too fat to climb up and down the subway stairs. Can't the government subsidize Katz's deli food like it does with McDonalds and Taco Bell? [24 Nov 2006 08:05:27]

pricey Got a corned beef and a pastrami... both with Swiss cheese. Paid over $30 (for real). They tasted good, but not that good. [01 Jan 2007 15:35:29]

Yummy. Bring along your Cardiologist, a defibrillator, and a lot of CASH. Katz’s only takes green. In return, you get a sandwich that could kill you. I remember going as a kid and the sandwiches were even slightly bigger. Here, Pastrami is KING. You can “Send a Salami, to your Boy in the Army” It also where Harry Met Sally. Max is long dead but the food lives on. This place is right out of the 1950's Katz Deli is among the single best places to eat on earth. [26 Mar 2007 19:25:14]
