The Perfect Place This is a wonderful place for a date, a quiet dinner, whatever...go for their prix fix and its the best deal in the city ($20 for everything!)...their food is wonderful and would be fit for any fancy place, but its casual and comfortable...there is a bar, great food, good coffee, and even good music...just go, take a date, get there for the deal and you will never have to look for another place to eat... Not worth it!! Disappointing. I recently visited La Jumelle and was horrified by the lack of service available, not to mention the undercooked food that was served. I had ordered a dinner that I had never received. I was told that the cook had forgotten my order. As it turned out everyone in my party finished their food. At that time I was told my food was ready. When we complained to the waiter he stated that it was not his fault and blamed the cook. The mussles served as an appetizer were undercooked and some were raw. We were told that dessert was available but were never offered any. As we had a large party, I was unable to really complain as to not embarrass the people we were with. [18 Feb 2004 14:34:15]

Classic BISTRO Intertwined with both traditional French and Belgium dishes like Steak au Poive and Mussles, it's been my favorite for years. A great place for a first date. Prix fix before 7. Drinks are dirt cheap. [19 Apr 2004 12:00:23]
