Nice Space, Great Service, Good Food
Tried this place for the first time since they took over and renovated the space a couple of months ago. Many interesting choices, but at the encouragement of the waitress (who may have just been trying to pick something safe to serve to anglo-Americans) I went for the adobo or adobong baboy as it is listed on the menu. I made it a pork (fat!) day by also ordering grilled pigs ear (tenga) and tortang talong (whole eggplant broiled, then flattened and stuffed with ground pork and fried in egg fritata). Everything was good, biggest surprize being the adobo which was not spicy like some versions but had a rich tasty broth/gravy. Topped it off with a mango shake which (at least right now, during mango season) was essentially a fresh mango blended with ice. Yum!    [17 Aug 2002 18:46:39]

Recommended Dishes: Adobo was very good but only just starting to explore the menu

Great Chicharon Bulaklak, Lechon Kawali, Crispy Pata
I go to this place when I'm craving Filipino food. They have the best lechon kawali, crispy pata and chicharong bulaklak (heart attack central, I know, but what a way to go!). They used to have good misua with alimasag, but the last time I was there the waitress told me they don't serve that anymore. Too bad.    [16 Sep 2007 00:19:02]
