Donato's Pizza

The restaurant is known for their edge-to-edge toppings on the pizzas, you've probably seen their "Respect the Pizza" commercials. They've joined the crowd with a "NoDough" low carb pizza (pizza toppings served on a black heat safe plate.) The Donato's Italian sub is served with your choice of Italian dressing or pizza sauce. This particular restaurant has a drive-thru pick-up window, pick-up at counter or dine in. A large party room is also available for special events.

Interesting business notes, the founders sold the chain to McDonalds corporation who expanded some locations with limited success and then sold the chain back to the founders late in 2003. Company originated in Columbus, but is considered a regional chain. Strong promotional program.

Very good pizza, Excellent Subs
Located in many places throughout central Ohio and other places. Great pizza fare, excellent subs. While not my favorite pizza place, it is a nice change once in a while. I have paticular tastes for pizza that probably differ from most others. The thin crust pizza has edge to edge toppings. Donato's pizza is a favorite with many in Columbus. The Italian sub is excellent among my favorites. Try some of their unique choices in pizzas like the philly steak.    [12 Apr 2004 19:07:16]
