Great selection of wine and food This was a great find! A friend told us about a little wine shop and bistro in Canal Winchester. The menu had a nice mix of salads, sandwiches and appetizers. 3 or 4 entrees tops of the menu. Nice inside or outside seating.
Enjoy!! [30 Nov 2006 19:17:19]

Good Choice in Small Town We went to Village Wines & Bistro in Canal Winchester by accident. We were headed into Canal to another restaurant and couldn't reach it because of a Christmas festival. We ended up at Village Wines & Bistro.
The outside is deceiving. We were a little dubious at first until we looked at the menu. We had the Baked Brie with Pecans & Brown Sugar for an appetizer. It was so good, I made the waitress leave it at the table during the whole meal. My husband had the sausage ravioli & marinara sauce. It was very tasty and mildly spicy. I had the grouper with lemon coucous & roasted vegetable. It was very nice. And for dessert we ordered chocolate mousse but were too full to eat it so we took it home. While watching movies late that night, I ate the chocolate mousse all by myself. I considered licking the container but couldn't withoutgetting chocolate all over my face, my husband noticed that I didn't share any of the mousse with him. We had to go back another time so he could get his own dessert. [29 Jan 2007 12:24:56]
