Ambar or Anand? Clifton Welcome's Indian Cuisine I must admit that only in Clifton could you find 2 great Indian restaurants within a block of each. I am proud to be the first to review Anand India in comparison to its competition only a block away. When I first visited Ambar restaurant 3 years ago, I was amazed at the quality of the food but it was not until I visited Anand that I also experienced a very clean environment with equally as delicious food. Two pea's in a pod, these restaurants offer similar dishes with similar prices and if you are lucky, you can find a $6 or $7 off coupon just by looking in CityBeat. You can't go wrong when you eat Indian cuisine in Cincinnati. [16 Feb 2004 21:37:07]

Best service and best food at this awesome Indian restaurant... Let me start by describing the warm welcome I receive whenever I go to Anand India Restaurant. I have been to other restaurants and had to wait for at least 5 mins to get a table but this place, although busy all the time, I am received by good looking guys everytime I go there. My favorite dish is chicken makhani and I like spicy foods. I was recommended to try this entree from chicken specialities by a waiter and he has waited on me at least 7 times and I was impressed by his service. Let me talk about the food. I haven't tried anything which is so tasty as the food I get here whenever I dine. The atmosphere and the interior is so romantic which adds to my pleasant experience in Anand India. I have referred this restaurant to all my friends and they have been dining here aleast once every week. [16 Feb 2004 21:38:49]

Anand was the worst Indian food I ever tasted I never write reviews for the restaurants, but I was compelled to after my visit to Anand. We went to the restaurant yesterday night and it was the worst food I have eaten in years. The pakoras were like rocks, the curd stunk like wasted milk, the rice was two days old. It seemed like the same oil was being used for cooking for all the dishes. If anybody knows healthy cooking, one should not use deep fried oil many times. It is just too unhealthy. As for the service, the waitresses were chewing bubble gums while serving. Also the check was not brought to your table even after you are done and your table was cleaned. [27 Oct 2007 14:34:43]
