bad service
I have been to Panini's on Coventry several times and each time I have had horrible service. When sitting at a table, getting a server is a crap shoot. And once you have a server, good luck getting them to come back to check on you or to refill drinks.

One time I was there, our server walked past our table 4 times without noticing our empty beers. Eventually he cleared our empty bottles, but never asked if we wanted anything more.

On a seperate occasion, a tab was being held at the bar with a credit card. when we asked for the check, the card was automatically run even though the 4 seperate people on the tab planned on paying with cash. We asked for the card transaction to be voided. After several minutes of arguing, (the bartender told us just to have the card holder deposit the cash into his account and everything would be fine) they finally voided the check...or at least we thought so. The card was still charged and we paid the cash. I told the cardholder to hold onto the receipt and since we did things were rectified the next day...after a $25 overdrawn charge that the bar did not cover.

I will only go there now if I am meeting someone who is already there. I stay for one drink and then suggest another bar on the street.    [21 Oct 2007 14:37:04]
