Okay, when you say you want Japanese food, don't attempt on going to House of Japan, Genji, or Japanese Steak House. If you want real Japanese food, this is one of the best Japanese restaurants around. They've had bad service, but they changed owners recently. So Mama-San is pretty cool. Being Japanese, my favorite place is Yoshi. Becaus they have awesome service & sushi. Basho has more variety of appetizers (great if you are a drinker).    [20 Jan 2007 18:56:58]

Our favorite sushi joint
I had to laugh at the previous reviewer's report of bad service under the old management. This is so true. The old Mama-San had the evil eye for my husband. Basho is reasonably priced as sushi/sashimi goes. The ambiance has improved greatly (much cleaner and more appealing to the eye). We prefer Basho to all other sushi establishments EXCEPT one in downtown Columbus. Service at Basho is terrific. You do not want for anything there- they do not give you time to need anything as they are filling your drink or taking your empty dishes immediately.
