Pier W is pricy, but worth it The moment you walk in you know you're in for a pleasant evening. After being seated the waiters will attend to your every whim while you enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and nice view. The dishes are served promptly and to your exact specifications, and most importantly are very tasty. You won't regret eating here. [05 Dec 2001 08:24:04]

Best Brunch in Cleveland Pier W has THE best brunch in Greater Cleveland. The best view, the best food and excellent service make it a memorable experience. Make reservations early and leave room for the dessert table! [07 Mar 2003 00:17:43]

PIER W Outstanding water view and late night skyline view. The new design of the bar is much improved. Service was average, to my dislike and disappointment a birthday desert I ordered did not get brought to the table. Their attention to detail lost. Green beans were presented on the lady's plate when aspeargrass was on the menu. A poor seat choice given to us at a 9pm seating when you go there for the romance of the view. I did ask to move and a better choice was then given. This was a special night, the lady's birthday, I twice told the hostess and spelled her name for a feeling of being special for one night. I dine out every week. This was a mixed of good and bad. Birthdays should be a memorable experience. I am not in any hurry to return. [02 Aug 2005 16:24:09]

PIER W Great view of the lake, but it did not make up for the dinner. The service was very good, but the linguine and clams were so disapointing. No flavor to speak of. We voiced our displeasure to the staff and they listened only. I did not finish the meal, and was asked if I wanted to take it home. Why, will it taste any better at home? "well you can add garlic at home" I expected more.If they had not charged for the meal, I would return for a second chance on another item on the menu. [30 Apr 2006 05:59:00]

Horrible service -- not sensitive to medical needs Went here for dinner with three friends. The lobster on the 50 dollar seafood tower was gritty/sandy. Told the manager and he could not be bothered. Offered more potentially gritty shrimp. I was then rushed through my meal by an attendant who kept on asking me if I wanted my 'salmon special boxed up'. I explained to the waiter that it takes me a while to eat and digest secondary to a medical condition. I'm from NYC and obviously I'm in Ohio for the clinic. You would imagine there would be some sensitivity but there wasn't. The manager did not offer a dessert or an apology for that matter. Not worth the money at all. In the end, I had my barely eaten salmon boxed b/c I was tired of being harrassed about it. Essentially, my dinner was destroyed. [25 Aug 2008 10:23:58]

Pier W so good!!! So Satisfied! The view in this place MAY draw you in, but OH the FOOD should keep you coming back!! AHI Tuna, #1 sushi grade I am told by my attentive server is every bit and more than I expect. The rice and soy ginger sauce I still crave!! My wife had the much recommended swordfish and can't wait to go back!! Our waitress went above and beyond (we wanted to try the copper river salmon as an appetizer) and she and the chef made it happen (even though this wasn't part of the menu, only a special dinner for the evening). We felt special, our every whim attended to, and our bellies soooo satisfied. WE WILL make it a regular stop, NOT just a special occasion place any longer!! [05 Sep 2008 00:25:24]
