Tualatin Outback My family has been to Outbacks around 1/2 the United States. Virginia and Colorado. Salem, Oregon. We now live in Tigard, Oregon and we went to the Outback in Tualatin.
This was the most disappointing of all Outbacks. The waitress was not in a good mood and did not care who knew it. She dumped ranch dressing on the floor and it went all over my husband and son. We all ordered steaks and mine was so dry that I could not eat it. I'm not one to complain but my vegetables were rotten too. I just didn't want to eat that so my husband asked if they could take my dish off the ticket and the manager refused said he would cook me a new steak with more vegetables. I said no, I will just have some chicken wings. The manager said no -- and brought us a bloody steak with 2 small pieces of tinfoil tossed in a bag. The blood was coming out of the bag; we said no thank you and left.
We paid the whole bill. We left very upset. We don't go to dinner very often and it was our son's b-day. My husband said he will never go back. But I love Outback what do I do? [27 Aug 2003 16:33:12]

Bad Service Sevice was poor and slow. Being a server for 6 years I was amazed the restaraunt was not even busy. [08 Apr 2004 12:27:01]

same experience in 2006 I had a similar experience as the first review... I had eaten at Outback's all over the states... this location has a serious management problem since the reviews are consistently indicating problems. I also was served a steak that was well done when I had ordered med-rare. I explained the problem to the server, she was obviously irritated by my issue, she sent the manager over and I asked that my meal be taken off the ticket and I only be charged for the salad. He refused and said they would burn a new one... even though everyone else at the table was by now finishing their meal. I think this strategy must be policy... it is a very effective way to not only not have to refund a screwed up meal, in most cases like (like I did) people simply say "forget it" and leave dissatisfied. I guess repeat customers are not in the strategic plan!
Overall... avoid this location! [15 Jun 2006 13:26:28]

Burned Beef My family went to the Outback in Tualatin for the first and last time. Our waitress disappeared after delivering the salad. We waited 45 minutes for the rest of the meal, and they were not particularly busy. I had ordered my steak medium well, but it was pretty much burned when I got it. I could have asked for another steak, but after that long a delay, I was not eager for another 45 minuts of waiting. The salad was limp, the fries too salty to eat. The mashed potatoes were white hot in the center, indicating that they'd been re-heated in a microwave. The pasta dinner was okay. On the plus side, my baked potato was pretty good, they don't skimp on the salad dressing (the lettuce floats on top of it) and we had plenty of time to drink water and soak up the atmosphere. Next time we'll go to Baja Fresh. [07 Apr 2007 22:39:08]
