Run to the nearest water fountain!!! Dry,salty,inedible food!!
You actually recommend this place?????? Ten of us went to dinner there and had one of the most horrible dining experiences of our lives!!!! Of then ten of us, FOUR sent their plates back!! The pot roast was so salty I spit it out, and ordered spaghetti in its place, the paella was dry, had no saffron, I think even the chicken and mussels were ready to jump out of it. The scallops were raw AND salty. Then, I find out later that we were charged!!!! CHARGED!!!! FOR EVERYTHING WE SENT BACK!!Sure it was an oversight, I called the owner, Iris. To my shock and dismay, she defended her food! She noted others ordered scallops that night and had no complaints, then claimed that the scallops were not sent back until they were ¾ eaten!! (I SAW my brother-in-law take ONE BITE, and spit it out. He almost hurled), she also told me that her pot roast was her prized dish, and it was MY problem. If she were going to credit anything, she would do so in gift certificates. I told her we never wanted to set foot in there again. Too bad. It was also cold, we all had to eat with our coats on. I Really Like the place
Interesting review Krista, sorry to hear it was such a dastardly experience. A one-star for Ambiance though, what were you looking at? I love the food, the drink, & the ambiance. Years ago, I used to work there and still go there on occasion. While not a 5 star restaurant, I would dare say one of the top 5 in the Lehigh Valley of its kind. Sure, a lot of places have off nights and this may have been one of them for the Fed but it sounds like to me that you are one of those patrons just itching to moan & complain. A non-biased opinion to set the record straight.
I say non-biased because I have never worked there. I live in Allentown, but my job takes me everywhere. I have probably eaten in some of the best places East of the Mississippi. This is by far my favorite spot in Allentown, and has held it's own against some "famous" dining competition. Their Filet's blow away Ruth Chris', The Palm, The Capitol Grille, and Shula's. I have tried other dishes than just their steaks, and their bold American creations always impress me and the guests I bring there. They usually only have one or 2 wait staff on, but they know their trade, and have always provided us with just the right amount attentiveness. If you really want to blow a date away, order the "schmores" for dessert....it is a guaranteed lady killer! I agree that the party of 10 above had something up their ass, because I have eaten there for years and never had even a remotely similar experience.    [05 May 2007 20:25:48]
