Great Lunch
Food is a big surprise - I first went for a clean looking Chinese place. I've gone back many times for the lunch boxes, the best pickled ginger salad dressing, above average sushi and chocolate dipped fortune cookies.
Service is good if not impersonal.

One of the worst
Worst sesame chicken I've ever had. Very dry and overly greasy. Sushi fell apart while picking it up with chop sticks. Ginger salad dressing was as good as described.    [12 Jan 2005 19:38:17]

I got stomach aches after eating there

I love their sushi
I have lunched there many times and order takeout whenever I can for dinner. The sushi and sashimi are excellent and I love their ginger dressing. It's not as upscale as their other place down the street but it's more affordable.    [10 Feb 2006 00:04:05]

Overpriced & Overrated!!! Rude Staff!!!
My company just moved to a building near the Lotus Inn so I went to there with my friend to get some take-out for lunch today and what a disappointment. I ordered the 3 eggs rolls for my friend & for me I got the Lunch Special…..Chicken with Broccoli. With the lunch special, you are supposed to get soup & salad with the main dish but when I got my order, the salad & soup was not there. I told the cashier who took my order that my salad & soup are not in the bag and he said that I did not tell him I wanted the lunch special. But I did tell him because he asked me what kind of soup did I want & I said Hot & Sour. I think he forgot to write it down and was denying it. My friend even told him I asked for the Lunch Special but he kept arguing with me that I did not. So I let it go but then he said the total was $14.80 when it should have only been about $10.00!!! I said to him that I was getting over charged. He told me I was not. I got to a point that I told him forget about the money, the soup & salad and said that I'm never coming back to this dump again. Then I said that I’m letting everyone in my office that eats Chinese to never go there. He said he did not care because they get enough customers already!! That was uncalled for!!! Anyways, when I finally got back to work and ate the food it was rotten. Over cooked and tasteless!!! Never go to the Lotus Inn!!!    [12 Apr 2006 14:04:07]

Best sushi in the area
Best sushi in the area; generous portions, tasty combinations and very cheap prices. Order from sushi specials menu and also try the tempora ice cream, bubble tea and pupu platter. Manager/owner and staff are very friendly. Quick service, never long waits. great family owned restaurant, very clean and affordable
I don't know what the guy two reviews up is talking about. I have known the manager and the bookkeeper for over three years now at this place, and its always these 2 that are up front. They have been working there since the restaurant opened over eight years ago, and the only thing that ever changes are the servers once in a while. This place doesn't even have a cashier and its a woman that takes your money so most of this stuff he wrote was likely made up.

The service is good and excellent management, I have seen people who didn't like the food eat there complain, and not have to pay for their meals due to a kitchen error, so the though of them over charging you and not fixing it is impossible. Their business is packed at lunchtime always and just right in the evenings to be able to bring your family and have a nice Chinese family dinner.

As far as the food, its pretty much the best in the area, the Sushi is very best quality.

Just ate here today. Food was okay, prices a bit high as you can see in the menu. I'm not a sushi expert to know how good it was, but we were satisfied with taste and thought presentation was great.

Nothing exciting here. The ratings seem to go from problems to the best I've ever seen, and this was just good, three stars, no problems no real standouts.
