Surprising Little Place in Lower Bucks I like sushi. I used to have to go into NJ or Philly to get good sushi (what you can get in many grocery stores is edibile). Then I discovered two places in Lower Bucks, this and another (which I won't mention here).
When we first went in, it was moderately busy night, there were people at the sushi bar, people at the hibachi tables, so we took a regular table. The hostess was very pleasant and was more helpful than at our "regular" sushi bar. They had our "esoteric" favorites, Amaebi (sweet shrimp), Toro, and Spider Roll (soft-shell crab). And during a lull, the sushi chef came from behind the bar to say hello. Pricing is on par with other similar restaurants. The menu also includes some Korean dishes. And where they describe something as hot or spicy, they're not kidding!
The friendliness of the people have made this our new "regular" spot. They now have a "frequent diner" club as well. [06 Jan 2003 14:21:58]

Excellent Sushi The food here is excellent - some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. I've tried many of the items, and have yet to find something I don't like. I am particular to the hand rolls and volcano roll (as spicy as the name suggests), and my wife loves the spider roll. The steamed shumai makes a great appetizer, as does the cucumber salad. There are also several hibachi tables, which I haven't tried, but seem popular enough.
The owners are gregarious and helpful, and quick with service, but their wait staff, though friendly, could be a little more attentive. For such a small place, they sometimes take a little too long in getting around to you. Aside from this minor flaw, the service is overall quite good.
Sometimes when you sit at the sushi bar, the chef will, unprompted, hand you a full-sized sample item. It's a nice touch, and has introduced to dishes I may have not tried otherwise.
We dine here often and find that many of the other patrons, regular and first-time, are also friendly and conversational, which I think is due to the small size and atmosphere.
The pricing is reasonable; we usually spend about $30 on dinner, $20 on lunch. They accept all major credit cards. If you think you'll eat here frequently, you may want to join their discount club. For $10 you get a $5 coupon and a 15% discount card. The card also accrues 3% of your bill to an account each time you use it, an account that can be cashed in when it reaches $10 or more, and applied to your bill. [14 Jul 2003 17:47:38]
