My husband and I frequently eat at Bertucci’s (at least one a week) we have for the past 9 years. Recently we have been disappointed in the service. The last time we ordered take-out part of our order was missing, of course they took all the money, when I called to complain the manager seemed very nice and very apologetic he asked for my name and address and said he would be sending something called Bertucci’s money or something like that. Well it is three weeks later and I have not heard from them. I will not go back to Bertucci’s because I feel like I was brushed off, and that is really upsetting. I also will not have any thing nice to say about Bertucci's to my friends. One more thing, I tried to call the complaint number and it doesn’t work, so I would assume the I don’t care attitude comes from the top. Sandra Dion    [15 May 2002 16:42:09]

Wow Lady, Is This the 1st Time You Have Had Bad Service?
Bertucci's food is incredible! It has gotten a bit harder to find one because they have closed alot of there stores in the DC area. The food and the ambiance are fantastic! (As she said above.) I think the lady who gave the above review is wrong on a couple of points. Number one, just because you have bad service one time in 9 years, you should not totally give up on a place. Hello. That is just snooty and wrong. They were not doing it on purpose. If that is the worst thing that you can say, then you are going to have problems finding any restaurant that lives up to your dining standards. It is not Morton's. That is a pretty good track record. One time, nine years. That is nine years of good service. Do you know how many times McDonald's or Wendy's get there pick-up orders wrong? And that is only burgers? Check your order before leaving anywhere when you pick up food. Duh! Second, if you rate a place perfect for food and ambiance, you can't give them an overall rating of one, for goodness sake. That is totally biased and unfair to the establishment. I think that Bertucci's food is incredible, and I have not had bad service at any of their restaurants. I cannot say that for some other establishments, who have less than sterling service every single time. Don't let this woman lead you astray. Her one bad experience does not warrant the "attitude" that she has against Bertucci's. I am willing to bet that she has made subsequent trips to Bertucci's!!    [24 Sep 2002 06:59:39]
