Chef bill knows how to feed a lot of people.........just not well. Food not worthy of the price. [14 Jul 2007 01:50:16]

Fantastic I really have to disagree with the prior post. I think that the Chef has put together a dramatic change from what The Freight House originally put out. This was boring, drab, old standards. We had our rehearsal dinner here and all of the food was fantastic. The service was even better than what we had received during our sample dinner. I assume that some of the diners here in Bucks County just aren't ready for the sophisticated style of cuisine that the Freight house has been serving. There are still the old generic style of establishments left in Doylestown for those who prefer it. I would personally prefer to save my trip to the city and dine at the Freight House. I highly recommend it ...and try their cocktails, delish. [23 Oct 2007 03:22:29]

Great Place We love Freight House. Great service with an extremely large menu. I recommend the weekly specials. We have had some fantastic dishes from this menu. Recently had a perfectly cooked piece of venison here. The restaurant seems to put heavy focus on offering seasonal products. Even the cocktails have taken on this role. It makes me very happy to know that what I am consuming is fresh! My girlfriend and I enjoyed a Pumpkin Chai (?) martini there this weekend!!! Wow, you have to try this drink...incredible. Dangerously smooth. We sat in front of the fireplace in the back of the place. We got a bit concerned as we walked past their main room, but the fire was a nice treat for a Fall dinner. Front of the house angony We just celebrated a birthday at the Freight House and will probably not go back again. The food was outstanding. The front desk, reservationists, manager....all just terrible. We waited 1 hour to be seated, yes, we had a reservation. We were told that they were setting up the table, when in fact, they were not. The truth would have been better and appreciated. We waited another 20 minutes to be recognized by the service staff after we were seated. We were told by an employee that the management recommends over booking and "just making them wait" as the motto for service. Bad, very sad. [02 Dec 2007 20:22:41]

Not For Me ... We started for drinks and then moved on to dinner. The atmosphere was like an SNL scene of 40-60 year-olds looking for a hot date with music to match. The drinks were ok, the service ok, food so-so and too expensive. If you want to try on that old leasure suit, this is the place for you. Otherwise, there are better choices. [04 Dec 2007 14:59:06]

Best of Bucks County After spending the majority of my life in Philadelphia, I am VERY pleased to find a restaurant of this style in the suburbs. We have been going to The Freight House since we first moved to the area and we simply love it there. The service is by far the best in the area, the place is VERY clean, and the food is to die for! We highly recommend it! [03 Jan 2008 20:59:53]

Best in Class I really had a great meal on my visit here. The setting was fantastic! The restaurant is in a huge open space with beautiful leather booths, classicaly set tables and georgeous artwork. We found our waitress to be very well prepared and knowledgeable. We were impressed at the attention given to us from the moment we entered until the time we left. We all enjoyed our meal although we did think that they could offer martini samplers since they promote them so much. [10 Jan 2008 06:30:48]

Doylestown Favorite We very much enjoy the Freight House. This is the only place that we like to frequent in Doylestown. They seem to meet the main thing that we look for in a good restaurant...consistency! [03 Apr 2008 21:12:35]
