A wonderful breakfast spot in Jamestown A wonderful breakfast spot in Jamestown; and Jamestown sorely needed one. It has a comfortable, somewhat cozy atmosphere, although the new addition could use a more cozy feel. I believe the new chairs are a bit austere - they should have kept with the old chairs. Perhaps someone with a design sense could assist in creating a more welcoming new addition.
The pastries, muffins and breakfast items are absolutely delicious!! The best I've tasted anywhere. In this Starbucks generation, it's so wonderful to have the uniqueness of homemade delcacies rather than 'prefab' food.
The one major suggestion for Slice of Heaven would be "STRONGER COFFEE!" The coffee has a nice flavor, but very unsatisfyingly weak. Use the same coffee, just add more. [29 Dec 2003 10:23:45]

Slice of Heaven at Slice of Heaven How does on begin to write down how ferociously delicious the food is at "Slice". ( That's what Slice of Heaven is called by the local Jamestowners.) I had the really fresh croissant filled with real cheese(not the squirt or processed sliced kind), scrambled eggs and bacon. I could have had other fillers, ham or sausage (I despise the term, "breakfast meats") but my decadence is all the ingredients which sandwiched themselves inside this breakfast delight. I could have had my croissant as French toast with fresh berries, I could have had plain or fruit pancakes, or even the most delicious perfectly creamy or less so, if that's your desire, oatmeal, stuffed with every healthy, but also delectable, mishmash of delicious edible nouns. Alhough the adjectives "healthy" and "delectable" can be a paradox, in this case, they fit together perfectly. There's the breakfast burrito, I've hear that Chihuahua dogs and their owners have left Taco Bell to meet their friends at "Slice". Of course the menu includes homemade muffins, sticky buns, cookies, cakes, pies, puddings, and maybe even "lions and tigers and bears, oh my!" Slice of Heaven serves lunch as well, with sandwiches and salads which challenge one's decision making ability. Look, I don't eat breakfast out very much, so I'm not going to tempt the fates. When you know what you like, and you know where to get it, why risk it? If I want beautiful, I go to Jamestown; if I want delicious and beautiful, I go to "Slice". [05 Sep 2004 11:01:46]

SCRUMPDELYICIOUS Yes, it's a made up word but let me tell you that there aren't many other eating places which I've been to that garner a positive response from me. In fact two of them are here in Jamestown... Village Hearth Bakery and this place... Slice of Heaven. I haven't had everything here but what I have had was superb!! You should come here and when you do... you'll want to move here as I will... someday... perhaps when I hit the lottery. Just to be near this place and the other one that I mentioned before.
