Excellent American-Greek Food This is one of my favorite stops for lunch or an early dinner. The Greek and chef salads are large enough for two, toss in a gyro and you are in for a treat. [24 Oct 2001 00:12:36]

Athens: best in town for greek food. I am a big fan of Athens. Everything I've tried from salad and gyros, to soup and omelets has been wonderful. Easy to order take out and delivery service is good. New location is nice with a restaurant, grill and cafe. Restaurant area can get a little noisy due to high ceilings. Overall, highly recommended. [23 Jan 2006 12:12:12]

Mostly Frozen Food; Just Reheated This is a dreadfully mediocre place. The ambiance is dull and totally uninteresting, especially for a Greek-themed restaurant. The service is curt, lousy and they absolutely detest special requests. Overwhelmingly, the food is frozen and then, just reheated to order. Even the morning eggs are frozen! They're miserly in their extras, their bread is stale in appearance and tasteless and presented in little paper wrappers. I've seen mall cafeteria's with more appeal. For Charleston, so well known for its wonderful restaurants, save this one for last on your list..in-fact, just drive on towards home...you're sure to find a better one down the road!
